Posted at 21 April 2017 in Food & Drink

But are leftover Easter eggs even a thing? Has anyone resisted overindulging for almost a full week?! Strong willed students who need a solution to their chocolate egg problems need look no further. So are you ready to get creative with your snacking?

Here’s a list of quick treats you can get cracking on using those leftover eggs.

Chocolate buttermilk pancakes

If you’re still questioning whether it’s acceptable to eat Easter chocolate for breakfast, you can stop now.

Whip up a stack of these chocolate buttermilk pancakes (with homemade salted caramel sauce if you’re feeling confident in the kitchen). And if you still feel guilty, add in one or two of your five a day as a topping!

Creme Egg brownies

The Marmite of the chocolate world - people seems to either love or hate Creme Eggs. Whether it's the texture or the sugar overload that gets you, turn them into a rich set of brownies. Everyone loves brownies, right?

Vegan chocolate muffins

Being vegan doesn't mean you can't take part in the Easter fun. So if you managed to source yourself some vegan-friendly eggs this year why not turn them into something extra delicious?

These Vegan Chocolate Muffins even have a dash of coffee in the recipe. This means they're acceptable to eat at breakfast, right?

Giant chocolate buttons

Why do giant chocolate buttons taste even better than regular ones? Making your own means you can top them up with all kinds of extras - fruits, nuts and maybe even more chocolate (because why not?!).

What's more, you don't even need a recipe for this one. Just melt down your leftover Easter chocolate and drop even amounts onto a baking sheet and let them set.
