Virtual Short Story Writing Competition

We will be hosting a short story writing workshop in which students can chat about different ideas and create the start of a short story which they can enter into our competition, winning a luxury self-care hamper as the main prize. The workshop will be relaxed and informal, with plenty of opportunities to share their ideas, no matter what level of writing they have

Students were able to discuss their ideas about writing, develop their ideas with some exercises, and share their writing. Most of the workshop was focused on the different elements of a short story, so that the students could generate ideas that they can develop later by themselves.  By the end of the workshop a few of the students said they would be entering the competition, so hopefully they will use some of the ideas they came up with in the workshop!
