Discover Manchester

Manchester is the third most visited city by international tourists in the UK, so a great choice if you are looking to live in a diverse and multicultural community. Home to world-class football clubs Manchester United and Manchester City, a day at the football is only three miles away. Transport is simple and convenient in Manchester, including a tram network running through the city and into the suburbs.

With shopping centres including Manchester Arndale and Trafford Centre combined with luxury department stores Selfridges, and Harvey Nichols, there’s a shopping experience to suit everyone.

Manchester is hugely popular with international students, no doubt due to it being one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the UK and having the third-largest Chinatown in Europe. As well as the vibrant art and music scene, Manchester is proud of its bustling nightlife and trendy hangouts, including the famous Canal Street, the hub of Manchester’s LGBTQI+ scene. But if a quiet trip to the countryside is more up your street, England’s largest national park, the Lake District is just 1.5 hours away
