Corfe Castle and Blue Poole Excursion

Village: Chesil House Location: Corfe Castle Corfe Castle BH20 Start Time: 9:00AM 30 April 2024 End Time: 5:00PM 30 April 2024

Join us on this day trip to visit two must-see spots in Dorset: Corfe Castle and The Blue Pool!

This is a unique opportunity to see two picturesque spots in the local area, at a hugely reduced cost.

Corfe Castle

One of Britain's most iconic and evocative survivors of the English Civil War, partially demolished in 1646 by the Parliamentarians. A favourite spot with breath-taking views across Purbeck.

The Blue Pool
The Blue Pool is a former clay pit, dug by hand and abandoned in the early 19th century. The Blue Pool gets its name by the deep blue colour of the water in the clay pit due to light diffracting from clay particles in its depths.

The Blue Pool is surrounded by 25 acres of grounds with sandy paths shaded by ancient oaks and woodland for you to enjoy. There are also tea rooms and picnic spots at the Blue Pool for you to enjoy.
